Another board expected to be released this upcoming winter is another model in the works with Jonny Craft. So far the board is called the HellCat model. This board is a marriage between the DH2 and The Manwich. Prelim testing of this model has been going extremely well. Not sure on the name yet but we will see. But the object of this board is speed in pockety surf but, also slightly flatter faced waves as opposed to a DH2 which is meant to be ridden in good waves. Meant to be ridden 1" shorter and 1/8" wider than your DH2, this board is performance in again a shorter wider package. The nose remains slightly wide with a substantial base width and a forward outline. The tail is a bit wider than say a DH2. The foil has a slight bit of foam up front enabling the rider to again go shorter and creating a little more speed in the less steep sections of the wave. Medium entry rocker with little to no flip, and a medium tail rocker WITH a slight bit of flip off the exit. The concave on this board is again a deep single all the way through with a slight bit of vee off the tail for some release. Full round 50/50 rails throughout the board also helps to keep a little from up and around the chest area and under and ahead of the front foot. Easier paddling and a little more skate than a DH2. Tight pockety fin cluster for tons of flare in your turns and to help keep the fins loose in and out of maneuvers. Stock dimensions on this board are 5-9 x 18 5/8 x 2 1/4.
