The Stranger Danger is one of my strangest short board designs to date, and a project with Dane Anderson.  Dane is a very heavy front footed surfer applying lots of pressure and power to his front foot to create speed and lift down the line, but also through turns.  However, he still drives off of his back foot off the bottom.  This board features a low arc very high value nose rocker.  Bending in the middle the board bends upward towards the nose with very little flip, however remains flat through the tail. In the tail you will also notice a medium amount of flip and a deep single, double to vee in the concave.  Low value tail rocker with flip and vee.  This creates a board that generates speed and fast directional changes off of the front foot, however maintains drive and flow off the back foot.  Kind of strange, but works very well for a heavy footed power surfer like dane.   Ride this board with a touch more foam and ride it short.  Ride this board in average wave conditions, and surf it off of your front foot.  Dane is 6-3, 185 pounds and rides his 5-11 x 19 x 2 3/8 at 28.1 Liters in all wave conditions.
